Authorities will offer new details of the murder of a mother in Colorado

Boulder authorities in conjunction with Longmont police will provide an update on the Rita Gutiérrez García case, who has been missing for almost 4 years.

Officials will be holding a press conference on Friday, June 4 at 12 pm, at the Boulder Justice Center.

Gutierrez, 34, was last seen on March 18, 2018, in a parking lot in the 300 block of Coffman Street.

Longmont police said at the time that he was on the phone while walking to a car with family and friends when he told them he would be taking a trip home with someone else.

Juan José Figueroa was previously identified as a suspect in the case. He was sentenced in May 2019 to 93 years in prison on numerous charges in a separate and unrelated sexual assault case.
