According to the arrest report, the accused was looking for the cargo in a warehouse located just three minutes from the TGK prison. He was supposed to take them to Ft. Myers but the third time he failed to show up, Red Bull’s operations manager contacted the police.

$168,000 worth of Red Bull energy drinks. That’s the amount of cargo Alain Moreno, 46, a Cutler Bay trucker who was arrested on Monday, allegedly stole according to Miami Dade police.

The arrest report indicates that on three separate occasions, Moreno received cans of the energy drink from a warehouse in northwest Miami-Dade. The product was supposed to be delivered to Red Bull in Fort Myers, but the shipment never arrived.

The stolen shipments include one released on January 31 containing $58,406 of Red Bull, another from February 13 worth $52,406 and one from February 28 containing $58,406 of cases of the drink.

According to detectives, the driver provided a delivery note to Geodis, the company that gave him the goods…this alleged evidence contained the signature of the manager of the Red Bull warehouse in Ft. Myers…but after not having received the boxes, they realized that the signatures were from previous shipments and that’s when the police were called.

The judge imposed $30,000 bail on Moreno, which was paid by his wife, and they also ordered him to stay away from the business where he stole.
