Warner Bros. Games and DC used Sony’s State of Play broadcast to showcase the game from suicide squad on February 23, 2023. Created by Batman: Arkham series developer Rocksteady, a new trailer showcased an expanded look at the game’s combat systems and 4-player co-op gameplay. The new reveal arrives at the end of May 2023 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

In the trailer, the foursome are sent to rescue supervillain Lex Luthor from none other than The Flash, who appears to be working with or for Brainiac, a Kryptonian menace. Each character uses their unique movement abilities and combat abilities to take on groups of enemies, including battle tanks and robotic drones. They also destroy a massive robotic enemy the size of a building before they manage to rescue Luthor from captivity. They confront Flash before Wonder Woman intervenes, trying to use her Lasso of Truth to force Flash to tell her how to reverse whatever process is causing them to become a threat. Flash says that “We must die to save the world”.
First revealed at the DC Fandome event in 2020, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League features members of Task Force X, also known as “Suicide Squad”. They’re a group of villains forced to work for the government to deal with threats and carry out missions too shady for superheroes in the DC Universe. In this case, Batman villain Deadshot, Flash villain Captain Boomerang, Aquaman villain King Shark, and Joker sidekick Harley Quinn take on the Justice League itself.
