Steam Lunar Sale starts in February

According to SteamDB, the first major sale of the new year will take place in about four weeks: from February 11th to 15th, 2021 the Chinese New Year celebrations will be accompanied by a discount campaign on Steam. As usual, the sale should start at 7 p.m. German time.

As with previous leaks, the information comes from developers who were informed about the next sale by Valve in good time. However, the information has not yet been officially confirmed.

The date should still be realistic. The Chinese New Year will take place on February 12th this year – exactly in the time frame of the leaked sale date. Valve held a sale in the days around the celebrations last year.

Steam Festival takes place before that

The lunar sale is not the first Steam event of the young year. Already previously takes place from 3rd to 9th February the Steam Game Festival instead of. As in the summer and autumn before, you can try out numerous demos for upcoming games.

Which games are available is still unclear. However, only games that are published within six months of the festival and have a publicly playable demo are eligible for the Game Festival February 2021.
