Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series Development Has Begun On Switch, Producer Talks Nintendo Direct Reveal

Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series released on many platforms, but it turns out that development started on Switch. This information comes from Ryo Ishida, the game’s producer in a recent issue of lost in worship.
Ishida also spoke about the reveal of the Klonoa Phantasy Reverie series in a Nintendo Direct last year, saying it’s “a great way to spread information and raise awareness for fans of the games” given the high level of anticipation of announcements. He said that Bandai Namco was “very grateful for this opportunity”.
Ishida’s full words:
The (…) platform we started development on was Switch. By the time we finished the Switch version, we had the opportunity to put it in a Nintendo Direct and thereby (reveal the existence of the collection) to a global audience. We thought (was) a great way to spread information and raise awareness among gaming fans, as this is where game announcements are active (early). So we were very grateful for this opportunity.
The Klonoa Phantasy Reverie series is now available. Contains revamped versions of Klonoa: Door to Phantomile and Klonoa 2: Lunatea’s Veil.
