False reports of a stampede among Youth Fair attendees worried those arriving Saturday night at the event in southwestern Miami-Dade County.
It all happened after a group of children started running on the fairgrounds, which alarmed others, Miami-Dade Fire Department officials said, adding that several people had been slightly injured, but no one had been taken to hospital.
Miami-Dade police confirmed that the reports of the shootings were false and that there was no threat to public safety.
