Is Quidditch part of Hogwarts’ heritage?? The Quidditch World Cup game released in 2003 remains a fan favorite, so if the sport fits into the Hogwarts Legacy timeline, its inclusion seems like a no-brainer.
We know that Hogwarts Legacy is set in the 19th century, long before the events of Harry Potter. However, many familiar features remain, such as the Hogwarts Legacy Floo Flames and Hogwarts Legacy common rooms, so where does that leave Quidditch? From Harry Potter lore, we know that earlier incarnations of the game were recorded in the 11th century, with other broomstick games dating back even further than that. So while this would technically fit the RPG story, Warner Bros has confirmed that Quidditch is not playable at Hogwarts Legacy right now.

On the official Hogwarts Legacy FAQ page, Warner Bros. confirmed that Quidditch will not be playable at Hogwarts Legacy. The same page also talks about Hogwarts Legacy multiplayer. However, that doesn’t technically rule out either in the future.
However, there’s a Quidditch pitch at Hogwarts, and it’s possible to fly on a broomstick at Hogwarts Legacy, so you’ll still be able to experience the thrill of the chase, even if there aren’t any snitches to catch. The FAQ page also confirms that there are broomstick flying minigames, like broomstick racing, so it’s about as close to Quidditch as you can get for now. That being said, there is still some hope. FOR Leak shared on Twitter by Bigby shows some details of a Quidditch mode in earlier work in development, but it has since been dropped. Since there is a Quidditch pitch at Hogwarts Legacy, we may be able to see it as DLC, but nothing has been confirmed yet. Alternatively, unofficial Quidditch can’t be ruled out, as a third-party Hogwarts Legacy multiplayer mod is already in the works.
That’s the bad news about Quidditch at Hogwarts Legacy, but there’s still plenty to do on Hogwarts Legacy’s massive map.
