These major patches bring everything from new Genshin Impact banners, Genshin Impact events, and even entirely new regions, like Inazuma or Sumeru, to one of the best PC games of recent years. Like some of the best new MMOs, Genshin Impact’s maintenance period is happening at the same time for everyone in the world. We’ll keep this guide updated with the latest information on any scheduled maintenance, as well as when we expect the game servers to come back online.
Genshin Impact Upkeep Time
Genshin Impact 3.6 maintenance is scheduled to take place on April 12, 2023. If this follows previous updates, servers will likely go down at 6:00 a.m. server time (UTC+8) for about five hours. This translates to 3:00 p.m. PDT, 6:00 p.m. EDT, 11:00 p.m. BST on April 11, and 12:00 a.m. CET, 8:00 a.m. AEST on April 12.
There is always a chance that the game may need to be taken offline for emergency maintenance outside of these hours. If that happens, we’ll update this guide with official information from Hoyoverse.
Genshin Impact Maintenance Rewards
Hoyoverse distributes rewards whenever a long maintenance period occurs, as well as for any notable bugs that occur. For pre-maintenance, players typically received 300 Primogems, 60 for every hour the servers were expected to be offline.
Players always receive this amount whether maintenance ends early or not, and more Primogems were delivered when the update process took longer than expected. An additional 300 Primogems have been awarded for legacy issues from patch 2.8.
