While not as successful as other recent video game adaptations, the Mortal Kombat movie did well enough that Paramount decided to greenlight a sequel fairly soon after the first one arrived.
Since then, we’ve only heard small hints about the movie like the one we’re bringing to you today, because in response to a report from Geek Vibes on Twitter, the sequel’s producer, Todd Garnierconfirmed that the film will begin filming in June in Australia.
Production will last until September, which means it won’t be long before we learn more information and news related to this modern new installment in the Mortal Kombat saga.
