The Stealthrunner – Stealth Gameplay Expansion mod has been released, greatly improving the stealth experience in Cyberpunk 2077.
Cyberpunk 2077 has developed a large and very active modding community, which regularly presents us with interesting projects. One of the latest worthy mods is Stealthrunner – Stealth Gameplay Expansion, which introduces a ton of changes aimed at increasing the appeal of stealth gameplay.
The mod does not fundamentally change the stealth mechanic itself. In exchange the creator changed most of the missions and contracts to provide additional objectives. They make performing tasks in silence more rewarding. Besides that, there is new perks and items.

These additional goals range from ghosting, which means avoiding detection and leaving bodies to be found, to the pacifist approach, where we can’t hurt anyone. A hero objective is also available in part of the missions, i.e. no hostage can be left to die.
A new perk tree for easier concealment complements this. These are not just stat bonuses. Instead, they take the form of entirely new abilities.allowing us for example to detect characters carrying access cards or to acquire the capacity of a pickpocket, to be able to rob our enemies.
The mod also adds several new items, including a legendary weapon, and more will be implemented in future updates.
All in all, this makes for a very interesting mod. This not only makes the stealth approach more interesting, but also makes it worth returning to the game and replaying old missions, as the new perks and objectives provide a new experience.
