Netflix unveils the new cast members of The Witcher TV series with their official character names.

Despite the lack of a broadcast date and a shoot stretched over many weeks due to the global pandemic, new faces are joining the cast of the serial adaptation of the license The Witcher:

  • Adjoa Andoh (Bridgerton, Silent Witness, Invictus) as Nenneke. In the novels of Andrzej Sapkowski, she is a priestess of Melitele and the head of the Temple of Melitele
  • Cassie Clare (Brave New World, The Bisexual, Seven Sisters) as Philippa Eilhart. She is advisor to the king of Redania, Vizimir II, and founder of the Lodge of Magicians
  • Liz Carr (Silent Witness, Devs, The OA) as Fenn. Fenn was a partner in a law firm and detective agency in Dorian
  • Simon Callow (A Room with A View, Four Weddings and a Funeral, Hampstead) as Codringher. Fenn’s partner
  • Graham McTavish (Outlander, The Hobbit, John Rambo) as Dijkstra. He is a master spy and head of the special forces of the kingdom of Redania
  • Kevin Doyle (Downton Abbey, Happy Valley, Good) as Ba’lian, an unseen character
  • Chris Fulton (Bridgerton, Outlaw King, One of Us) as Rience. A mage who was tasked with finding Ciri after her disappearance in the Cintra massacre

The Witcher, the sequel to the series is desired

The synopsis of season 2 of The Witcher on Netflix : “Convinced that the life of Yennefer (Anya Chalotra) was lost at the Battle of Sodden, Geralt of Rivia (Henry Cavill) brings Princess Cirilla (Freya Allan) to the safest place he knows, the house of his childhood, Kaer Morhen. As the kings, elves, humans and demons of the continent fight for supremacy outside its walls, he must protect the maiden from something far more dangerous, the mysterious power she possesses within.

The other actors previously announced for the second season are Yasen Atour as Coen, Agnes Born as Vereena, Paul Bullion as Lambert, Basil Eidenbenz as Eskel, Aisha Fabienne Ross as Lydia, Kristofer Hivju as Nivellen, Mecia Simson as Francesca and Kim Bodnia as Vesemir.
