The sequel to the television series Good Omens is being prepared in Scotland.

Season 2 of Good Omens will explore storylines that go beyond Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman’s novel to shed light on the strange friendship between Aziraphale, a fussy angel and rare book dealer, and the fast-living demon Crowley. Present on Earth since the Beginning, and the Apocalypse having been foiled, Aziraphale and Crowley resume an easy life among mortals in the London district of Soho, when an unexpected messenger presents them with a startling mystery.

Michael Sheen, David Tennant, Mark Gatiss, Steve Pemberton, Reece Shearsmith, Niamh Walsh and Derek Jacobi will still be cast alongside newcomers like Maggie Service, Quelin Sepulveda and Shelley Conn. Nina Sosanya and Miranda Richardson, who appeared in the first episodes, will have new roles to play, while TV series big names Benedict Cumberbatch and Frances McDormand will not be returning for the new season of Good Omens.

A return by summer 2023 for Good Omens on Amazon Prime Video

Neil Gaiman remains executive producer of Good Omens and will serve as co-showrunner with executive producer Douglas Mackinnon, who will also return to direct. Narrativia’s Rob Wilkins, representing Terry Pratchett’s John Finnemore estate, and Josh Cole, head of comedies at BBC Studios Productions, will also serve as executive producers, with John Finnemore serving as co-writer alongside Neil Gaiman.
