The firm Seipasa, a Spanish company specializing in the development, formulation and manufacture of bioinsecticides, biofungicides, biostimulants and fertilizers, has begun construction work on the new building within its industrial complex in L’Alcúdia, Valencia, in which will invest four million euros to equip itself with the facilities and technology necessary to put its new product line on the market.

This new building, which will also house the new central offices of the company, will allow Seipasa to have a space of 4,400 new m2. Of these, 2,900 m2 will be used for the new production plant and the remaining 1,500 m2 will be reserved for work spaces.

The new building will be equipped with the most advanced technology, and will be totally sustainable in the use of materials and efficient in energy consumption. Construction work has just started and is expected to be completed during the first quarter of 2023.

New product line

The CEO of Seipasa, Pedro Peleato, explained that the beginning of the construction works represents the first step towards the market launch of the new product line in which the company is working.

“Our R+D+i department has spent years researching the formulation and development of a new product line that is positioned as a real and effective alternative to the synthetic herbicides currently on the market. At Seipasa we have worked to find a balance between all the pieces on the board, from technology to costs to regulation, so that this alternative becomes a reality in the hands of farmers”, Peleato assured.

The CEO of Seipasa has added that, in the case of the EU, we are talking about a potential disappearance in the short and medium term of 40% of the available active substances: “It is estimated that 2 out of 3 conventional phytosanitary products may no longer exist. This scenario forces companies to put all their talent and innovation into the development of these new alternatives hand in hand with biocontrol and, in the specific case of Seipasa, based on our Natural Technology model”.
