Lightyear Frontier developer Frame Break has shared a look at what’s been added to the sci-fi farm game since it was first revealed.
Last summer, Swedish game developer Frame Break announced Lightyear Frontier: a farming simulation in which players must use mechs to build new life on an alien planet.
Today (February 6), Frame Break revealed everything that has been added to Lightyear Frontier since its initial introduction. One of the most important features is the addition of radio towers, which will allow players to communicate with NPCs who have settled on other planets in the system.
These characters will offer tasks to complete, and in return, Frame Break says they’ll be willing to share their knowledge with the player.
Additionally, Lola the Traveling Merchant will physically greet players whenever they visit her planet and provide updates on happenings in the solar system.
Elsewhere, a “full catalog” of cosmetic items has been set up, with Frame Break showing off things like scarecrows and lamps that were made for the game.
Looking ahead, Lightyear Frontier is expected to launch in early access this spring. For any of you who missed the latest in-depth look at Frame Break at Lightyear Frontier, the game’s Steam page describes it as a “peaceful open-world farming adventure on a planet on the fringes of the galaxy.”
“Live the quiet life while enjoying the sights and sounds of your new home,” the page reads. “Enjoy a stress-free, combat-free experience without the need to control things like thirst and hunger. Focus on farming, exploring, and discovering.”
Our trailer for Lightyear Frontier looked very promising, thanks to the game’s fusion of various genres.
In other video game news, Bethesda has confirmed that Redfall will launch with Denuvo.
