The monarch seeks cleaning staff

If last week it reached the media that Kate Middleton and Prince William were looking for domestic employees to help them in their daily tasks, now the British tabloid ‘The Mirror’ announces that Queen Elizabeth II has also published a job offer for cleaning staff at Buckingham Palace.

But if the most delusional thought that working alongside the monarch is synonymous with good working conditions, the truth is that they are very wrong. The candidacy is very unattractive, both in terms of salary and in terms of hours.

The same medium cited above ensures that the salary that the employees hired by Buckingham Palace will receive will receive an annual salary of 11,300 pounds if you work part-time, a figure that will double if you work full-time.

Thus, the cleaning staff would not receive more than 1,100 euros per month for their work, an already short figure in Spain and much lower compared to London’s high standard of living, a city where the average rental price is around £ 500 for just one room.

But the thing does not end here, and it is that the working conditions offered by Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom would not be entirely attractive either. Whether the candidate accesses the vacancy part-time or full-time, the schedule will be seven days a week, if a single day off to disconnect from the life of the palace.

In addition, while no experience or other training is required, the ad advises that they are looking for workers “with an eye for detail” who are capable of maintaining “the best of looks” and the “highest standards” of Buckingham Palace.
