Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani discussed regional and international developments with Malaysian Prime Minister Sabri Yaqoub on Tuesday.

This is what emerges from a press release from the Prince’s Cabinet published on the sidelines of the Malaysian Prime Minister’s visit to Doha.

The two officials discussed the development aspects of joint cooperation, especially in the fields of economy and investment, and discussed the most important regional and international issues.

For its part, the official Malaysian news agency reported that the talks between Sheikh Tamim and Yaqoub covered issues such as the promotion of long-term cooperation between the two parties, the path towards economic cooperation and the post-coronavirus efforts, according to the statement.

And to note that the Malaysian Prime Minister had received a letter of agreement on investments amounting to 360 million dollars from the Qatari agricultural company “Agrico” and witnessed the exchange of a letter of intent between the Malaysian company “Prima” and the sovereign wealth fund of the State of Qatar.

Sabri Yaqoub arrived in Doha last Sunday for a three-day official visit, his first ever to Qatar since his appointment as prime minister last August.
