The Russian authorities have reported this Saturday more than 8,700 cases and more than 360 deaths from coronavirus to exceed 115,000 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic, according to data collected by the national operational center for the fight against the coronavirus.

The agency has indicated that during the last 24 hours 8,790 infections and 364 deaths have been confirmed, which brings the total to 4,931,691 cases and 115,480 deaths since the declaration of the crisis.

Thus, it has indicated that the capital, Moscow, appears one more day as the city with the most daily positives, with 3,073, ahead of Saint Petersburg, which has registered 749 cases.

The center has also highlighted that 4.53 million people have recovered to date from COVID-19, the disease caused by the new coronavirus, including 9,866 during the last day, as reported by the Russian news agency Sputnik.

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said on Wednesday that the country has surpassed the figure of 24 million people who have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and called on the population to go to be vaccinated to “reach herd immunity before the end of the year”.
