This Tuesday the vaccination against the coronavirus began in Peru. Doctors at the Archbishop Loayza Hospital received the first doses of the Chinese Sinopharm vaccine.

“It is a day that marks the history of what is Peruvian medicine”, Expressed Josef Vallejos Acevedo, head of the Intensive Care and Intermediate Care Service of the health center.

The doctor, who was the first to be inoculated in the country, added: “I am very pleased, especially in this preventive part in the fight against this disease that is hitting us a lot”.

As reported by the Loayza Hospital on its Twitter account, along with Vallejos Acevedo the head of the Emergency service was inoculated, Adrian Rodriguez; the doctor Mario Candiotti, intensivist physician; and the lawyer Martina Obando. Later, President Francisco Sagasti will be vaccinated.
