They found the body of a fifth lifeless miner after a mine collapse in Coahuila

The Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare (STPS) reported that at 9:57 am on Wednesday the rescuers working at the Múzquiz mine, Coahuila, recovered the body of a fifth worker.

After five days of efforts and rescue work, the personnel working in the area managed to extract the body of Juan Carlos Moreno Cervantes, who was originally from the mineral of Barroteràn. With the recovery of these five bodies –three on Sunday, one on Saturday and one on Wednesday— two more trapped miners remain to be found, after the collapse that occurred last Friday.

The accident brings to mind what happened on February 19, 2006, at the Conchos Pasta, also in Coahuila, where 65 workers died in an accident and only 2 bodies were recovered.
