Between the ice and the water, a person died inside a Honda car, which was trapped in the lower Periférico Norte bridge and Mario Colín and Los Maestros avenues, reported municipal authorities of Tlalnepantla, in the Mexico state.

The hail storm left 80-centimeter blocks of ice in this area. The cars were trapped under the Periférico Norte bridge, located next to Plaza Sentura, in the San Andrés Atenco neighborhood.

In the place, Civil Protection personnel and firefighters from Tlalnepantla worked to rescue three motorists and trapped people between the ice. This is where they found the body of a 40-year-old man, who apparently died of hypothermia inside a Honda car.

In this rescue, two firefighters were found with the body paralyzed by frostbite, so they were transferred for their medical care.
