The great event will begin at 12:00 hours in the esplanade of the Zócalo of CDMX and will advance to Campo Marte

This Sunday, October 31, the International Day of the Dead Parade will take place in Mexico City , which is why closures are already planned in some stations of the Metro, Metrobús and Trolleybus transportation systems .

It should be remembered that the great event will begin at 12:00 hours in the esplanade of the Zócalo of CDMX and will advance to Campo Marte, with a route of 8.7 kilometers through Paseo de la Reforma.

Metro

The Collective Transportation System ( STC ) Metro issued a statement in which it informed that the Zócalo-Tenochtitlán stations of Line 2 and Pino Suárez, of Lines 1 and 2 will remain closed from the beginning of the service until the end of it. He pointed out that the trains will not make ascent or descent of users on the platforms of these stations.

He also added that the options for users in the Historic Center area are Isabel la Católica, Bellas Artes, Allende and San Juan de Letrán.

The schedule for next November 2 will be from 7:00 to 24:00.

Metrobús

The Buenavista II, Hamburgo and Reforma stations on line 1 will close from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm, as well as the Mina, Hidalgo, Juárez and Banderas stations on line 3; The Glorieta de Colón and Plaza de la República stations on line 4 will do the same.

On this same line, the Bellas Artes, Hidalgo and Museo de San Carlos stations will also close from 5:00 to 11:00.

It will be from 5:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. that the Hidalgo, El Caballito, Glorieta de Colón, Paris, Reforma, Hamburg, La Palma, El Ángel, La Diana, Chapultepec, Gandhi, Anthropology, Auditorium and Campo Marte stations will close. line 7.

Trolleybus

Line 1 of the Electric Transport Service (STE) will operate from 11:00 a.m. until the reopening of roads in circuits: the first from Terminal Central del Sur to Terminal Doctor Pascua (Metro Doctores) and the second from Terminal Central del Norte to Santa Veracruz (Blanquita Theater).

On the other hand, Line 5 will provide service at the same time from Terminal San Felipe de Jesús to Lerdo (Glorieta Violeta).

What pantheons will be open this Day of the Dead in CDMX

Azcapotzalco

This mayor’s office mentioned that, from October 30 to November 2, the pantheons will remain open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.: Panteón Santa Lucía, Velatorios San Isidro, Panteón San Isidro and Panteón Santa Cruz are those that will allow entry.

Miguel Hidalgo

The authorities mentioned that there will be no vehicular access, so it is recommended to take precautions. Regarding the schedules, it was reported that the Dolores and Sanctorum  pantheons  will be open from  9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and overnight stays will not be allowed.

Xochimilco

In this mayor’s office, the pantheons  will only open on October 31 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  and, both Saturday and Sunday, they will remain closed.

Tláhuac

In the case of  the Mixquic pantheon, in the Tláhuac mayor’s office , it has been in communication with the mayor  Berenice Hernández Calderón , since that site is one of the most visited visitors, both nationals and foreigners. It was mentioned that there will be a dry law and the capacity of the pantheons will be 80%.

Iztapalapa

The 10 pantheons of the mayor’s office will open their doors to the population.  Requirements for access include respecting sanitary measures against the pandemic. The hours to visit the deceased will be from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. from October 30 to November 3.

Tlalpan

It was reported that the eleven pantheons of this mayor’s office will open from  8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Cuajimalpa

In this mayor’s office, the Calvario pantheon will open from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Iztacalco

The San José pantheon, in the San Pedro neighborhood, will open from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. on November 1 and 2.
