Two men aged 31 and 35 were arrested for presenting apocryphal documents and disguising themselves as elderly to receive the COVID-19 vaccine in one of the vaccination points installed in the Coyoacán mayor’s office.

For its part, the Attorney General’s Office of Mexico City (FGJCDMX), reported that since they exhibited apocryphal documentation that identified them as elderly beneficiaries of the vaccine, both were linked to proceedings for their probable participation in the crimes of identity theft and falsification or alteration and improper use of documents.

At the initial hearing, the judge determined that those now accused must remain with the precautionary measure of justified preventive detention; in addition, it set a period of one month for the closure of the complementary investigation.
