200,000 doses of Sputnik V vaccines arrived at Mexico City International Airport

Through the official accounts of Laboratorios de Biológicos and Reactivos de México S.A. de C.V (Birmex), they announced that the plane arrived in Mexico City at dawn on April 21, 2021.

At the airport were present Pedro Zenteno Santaella, Surgeon and Homeopath and Director of Birmex, the Russian Ambassador to Mexico Víktor Koronelli, as well as the Director General for Europe of the Ministry of Foreign Relations, Bernardo Aguilar.

The cargo of this plane was 200,000 doses of the Sputnik V vaccine, which will be used within the National Vaccination Strategy to inoculate teachers, older adults and front-line medical personnel.

“We started receiving vaccines at 3:00 am with a shipment of 200 thousand from the pharmaceutical company Sputnik V, from Moscow-Chicago on flight TK 6435. This biological represents 6% of all vaccines in Mexico”, they wrote on their official social networks.

But it will not be the only one, since a second shipment with doses of Pfizer-BioNTech will arrive in Mexico from Belgium very close to 9:05 am, which is loaded with 487,500 doses.

Finally, at 11:45 p.m., a third shipment will arrive in the national territory, but from AstraZeneca, which will leave one million 75 thousand 200 doses in the country.
