Several people were injured this Saturday in a knife attack on a high-speed train in southern Germany, according to confirmed sources of the police to the regional chain Bayerischer Rundfunk.
A spokesman for the Oberpfalz region police leadership told Bayerischer Rundfunk that it is currently unknown whether there is a terrorist motivation behind the attack.
The police added that a man had been arrested in the course of the attack, which occurred on the way between the cities of Regensburg and Nurenberg, specifying that the number of wounded was yet to be determined.
According to the tabloid “Bild”, the attack left three injured, of which two are in serious condition, although their lives are not in danger.
According to the same source, the aggressor would be a 27-year-old man who would have shown signs of presenting mental disorders.
