The police fined the more than 110 customers who dined at a restaurant in Paris despite the prohibition of activity inside such establishments due to the coronavirus, and both the organizer and the manager were arrested.

The Prefecture of Police indicated this Saturday in its Twitter account that the agents came for the complaints they had received about the bustle in that restaurant, which is located in the 19th district of Paris.

The agents sanctioned the participants in this dinner for not respecting the sanitary rules in force and took the two responsible to the police station.

On France, all social life establishments are closed by administrative order since the end of October, starting with restaurants, bars, cafes, cinemas, theaters, performance halls, museums or gyms. Since then, about a thousand restaurant patrons have been fined.

In addition, the curfew is currently in effect between seven in the afternoon and six in the morning.

The third epidemic wave since the end of winter, which is putting heavy pressure on hospitals, has prompted the government to tighten restrictions since late March.

Since last weekend, the ban on going out beyond a radius of ten kilometers around the home has been extended to the entire country.

The case of this clandestine restaurant comes to light a week after the controversy generated by a report on M6 television that showed hidden camera images of illegal parties in Paris.

In them appeared a man, later identified as Pierre-Jean Chalençon, an extravagant collector of objects of Napoleon, who boasted of having been at dinners with ministers, statements that he has then endeavored to deny, assuring that he was joking.
