After the decree of a decent holiday in the country, the workers They must be attentive to know how many days they must ask their employer from this 2023 and in case they have already more than a year in the company.

According to the document published in the Official Gazette of the Federation (DOF), people with more than one year of service will benefit from the increase in their vacation period, since it has gone from 6 to 12 days of rest. However, those who have been with a company the longest will also be rewarded, as they will be able to access more days off depending on their antiquity.

As established and approved by the Federal Labor Lawholidays will increase by two days per year until reaching 20 (5 years). However, at the end of the sixth year of work in the company, the vacation period It will increase again, but for every five services.

For collaborators who add their second year in the company for which they provide their services during this year 2023, they can then be creditors of 14 days off. Employees will be able to use their days in a single exhibition or distribute them in the manner and time required.

The decree entered into force on January 1, 2023 and will be applicable to individual or collective employment contracts in force on the date of said entry into force.
