The emblematic figure will be in the Alameda Mariano Escobedo so that all the curious come to take a picture with her

Like a celebrity, a replica of the scary doll from the hit Netflix series , The Squid Game is acclaimed and visited at the Alameda Mariano Escobedo , located in the center of the state of Monterrey.

The doll that appears in the first chapter of the program of Korean origin, and that is part of the game “green light, red light”, will be from this October 30 in the aforementioned square so that it can be visited by the New Leonese.

“ It’s huge and it’s here! Come see the doll from ‘ The Squid Game ‘ in CDMX and MTY. As of October 29 in Coyoacán, and October 30 in Alameda ‘Mariano Escobedo’. There will also be gifts, ask for your almanac for my 10 years, it’s free! “Says the Netflix post.

In its social networks , the company shared a video showing the manufacturing process of the high-rise orange dress doll  that turns its head while singing “we will play move green light” as in the series.

The placement of the doll in the square coincides with the celebrations of Halloween or Halloween so that people can dress up and go to take a photo with the already emblematic doll.

On October 12,  Netflix  announced that the South Korean series  became the best premiere in its history by adding 111 million viewers  in its first 28 days of broadcast, surpassing The Bridgertons, who held the record with 82 million viewers , The Queen’s Gambit, Stranger Things, Tiger King  or the Spanish  La Casa de Papel.

Let us remember that the story focuses on an  extreme contest , where people in debt are willing to  lose their lives in order to get a large economic bag  that will solve their future.

Will there be a second season of the series?

Given the last scene we saw in chapter nine, it stands to reason that the streaming service  will produce a second season ; however, so far, no official announcement has been made to confirm this.

That said, you would have to wait quite a long time to see the new episodes. The Squid Game  was first announced in 2019, and  production took two years to complete , so, being optimistic, the second season  could run until 2023.

Mexicans in Reform

And for those who prefer something more traditional,  until next November 8 , 25 works that make up the  Mexicráneos exhibition  will be installed on Paseo de la Reforma avenue  , in CDMX , from the Glorieta de la Palma to the Ángel de la Independencia.

Each monumental skull will be installed 75 meters apart to avoid crowds. They were created in a unique fiberglass mold, with an anti-graffiti coating and refer to the  Day of the Dead , made in different techniques, which are included in a QR that also provides information about the author and the museum file.

The objective of the exhibition, which is in its fifth edition, is to represent an artistic version of the  pre-Hispanic  funeral rituals that consisted of adorning the skulls to display them in ceremonies as a symbol of transcendence to the spiritual plane.
