YouTube has announced that when you click on a hashtag on YouTube, a dedicated landing page will be displayed.
The YouTube hash tag will be displayed at the top of the video title by listing it in the summary column when posting the video. In the past, it was possible to click on a hashtag to display videos that contained it, but related videos that did not contain a hashtag but had similar content were also displayed.
In contrast, the new landing page will only show videos that contain hashtags and hide related videos. In addition, on this page, it is said that the best videos are sorted so that they are displayed at the top, so it seems that they are not simply arranged in the order of the latest videos. However, at present, it seems that there is still room for improvement, such as displaying many videos of the same channel side by side.
You can also access directly from the URL in the format of “https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/hashtag you want to see”. It seems to support search, but it will be released between a few days to a few weeks.
It’s often hard to find the video you’re looking for on YouTube, but it may be easier to find if hashtags become more popular. It seems that there is a merit that it will be easier for creators to find it.
