The highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy S24 flagship phone series is set to debut early next year, and a recent leak suggests that all three regular models will be included in the lineup. Additionally, there are indications of an exciting camera upgrade specifically for the priciest Ultra model.

The leak originates from SamMobile and GalaxyClub, renowned sources in the industry, who have discovered evidence pointing to a codename “Muse3” for the Galaxy S24 Ultra. In the realm of internal codenames, this finding raises the possibility of the existence of Muse1 and Muse2 as well.

Previously, rumors circulated that the Plus model would not make an appearance next year. However, the existence of these codenames suggests otherwise, indicating that we will indeed witness the successors to the Samsung Galaxy S23, the Galaxy S23 Plus, and the Galaxy S23 Ultra. Intriguingly, the codename for the previous series was “Diamond.”

To observe patterns and interpret leaks about future devices, it can be helpful to examine past codenames. For instance, the Galaxy S20 was referred to as “Hubble,” the Galaxy S21 as “Unbound,” and the Samsung Galaxy S22 as “Rainbow.”

The Anticipated Camera Upgrades

A tantalizing detail has emerged regarding the Ultra model’s camera. It appears that the Ultra variant will feature a telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom. This is expected to be an improvement upon the existing rear module of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, which consists of a 10MP camera with 3x optical zoom.

In addition to the 10MP camera with 10x optical zoom, the Galaxy S23 Ultra boasts a 200MP primary camera and a 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera. Previous leaks suggest that the camera configuration for the Ultra model in the S24 range will see minimal changes compared to its predecessor.

Anticipated Improvements and Unveiling

While details are still emerging, it is highly likely that an internal processor upgrade will take center stage, with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 expected to power the devices. Other rumors surrounding the three phones indicate that the screen sizes will remain the same as this year’s models, and the overall design will undergo minimal alterations.

The Galaxy S23 models made their debut in February 2023, which suggests that the successors in the Galaxy S24 series will likely arrive approximately 12 months later, in January or February 2024. Before that, Samsung is expected to host an Unpacked event at the end of July, where a multitude of groundbreaking technologies will be unveiled.
