New malware can read your WhatsApp messages and steal personal data

A new malware has been detected on Android by a group of technological experts and they have confirmed that it could steal personal information from the device and give rise to all kinds of espionage.

The app is called System Update, it literally pretends to be a system update to infect the mobile device, and works as a remote access Trojan that grants control of your smartphone to a third party.

As soon as it is installed, it will have access to files, text messages and WhatsApp, call history and location and even more, violating privacy and leaving the door open for the phone to be infected thanks to the accessibility permissions of the mobile by registering the content that you see.
