Since Jack Dorsey left Twitter for good, all his efforts have been spent on Block , his new company that aims to become one of the next references within the world of blockchain and crypto. Among Block’s projects there is also the one related to the creation of a real hardware wallet which has been at the center of the rumors for almost a year and which should become one of the first flagship products of the company.

In the last few hours, the company has shared the first real shot of the wallet prototypes, showing its decidedly peculiar design to the whole world. The image was shared on Twitter by Jesse Dorogusker , head of the hardware division of Block, and was also taken up by Dorsey himself who commented on it highlighting the particularly rocky design of the wallet .

A FIRST LOOK AT THE BLOCK WALLET

The hexagonal shape and the use of a texture that recalls that of various types of rocks are certainly the most evident aesthetic peculiarities of the Block wallet, even if it will be necessary to understand if these aspects will also be reflected on the final product. The photos also allow us to see the presence of two other elements that Dorsey had already anticipated last month on the company’s official blog, namely the presence of a sensor for scanning fingerprints and a Type-C port .

Recall that Block aims to offer a completely open solution to the market and that the hardware wallet is only one of the elements the company is working on. Among other things, in fact, we find a digital wallet for smartphones ( or in any case a companion app ) and a system for recovering the data of your wallet in case the credentials are lost. More details on this will be revealed in the future.

At the moment there is no precise information regarding the actual availability of the Block wallet, but it seems that the works are continuing and that we can now expect further news soon. We therefore look forward to further information.
