NTT DoCoMo has released a list of smartphones sold by other carriers that have been confirmed to work for the new online-only charge “ahamo,” which will be launched on March 26.

The list shows that we have a track record of using calls, data communications, and SMS even once under the conditions prescribed by DOCOMO. Not all operations are guaranteed, and DOCOMO does not guarantee any operation for smartphones of other companies. Also, for terminals that do not support DoCoMo’s main frequencies, it may be difficult to catch radio waves depending on the location.

When using another company’s smartphone, it is necessary to unlock the SIM in advance, and NTT DoCoMo points out the following points.

・ Products that support only communication methods different from the communication methods provided by DOCOMO and products for which SIM lock is not released cannot be used.
・ Unauthorized contracts and illegally acquired smartphone communication services may be restricted. ・ The usage area varies depending on the communication method and frequency supported by the model you are using. Please check with each distributor for the support status.
・ For matters related to mobile phones sold by other companies, please contact the business that sold the mobile phone.

・ If you are using a model other than DoCoMo, check that the frequency band installed on the terminal matches the frequency band of DoCoMo.
・ The usage area varies depending on the communication method and frequency supported by the model you are using.
・ 3.7GHz, which is the 5G frequency operated by DoCoMo[n78]、4.5GHz[n79]、28GHz[n257]If you do not support any of the above, 5G communication will not be possible. For Android 5G terminals other than DoCoMo, 4.5GHz operated only by DoCoMo[n79]It may not be compatible with some 5G frequencies such as. In that case, the 5G area that can be used differs, so please check the frequency band installed in the terminal in advance before making a contract.
・ Please contact the mobile phone retailer for the specifications of the model you are using.
・ Depending on the model, you may not be able to use the service even if the available communication methods and frequencies match.
