Apple has released an update that fixes a security vulnerability for the iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch, which are under active attack by hackers.

This security update has been released as iOS 14.4.2 and iPad OS 14.4.2, including patches for older models such as iOS 12.5.2. In addition, watchOS will be updated to 7.3.3.

According to Apple, the vulnerability was discovered by Google’s Project Zero security researchers and could have been “aggressively exploited” by hackers. This bug exists in WebKit, the browser engine used by the Safari browser on all Apple devices.

It is unclear who is actively exploiting this vulnerability and who has become the victim. Apple didn’t say whether the attack targeted a small number of users or was more widespread.

This is the third time the company has been aggressively attacked (as far as we can see) with a security-only update to fix the vulnerability. In June, Apple released a patch for a similar vulnerability in WebKit.

It is desirable to apply this update as soon as possible.
