The NASCAR driver in his Camping World Truck category, Jordan Anderson was involved this Saturday in a terrible accident when his vehicle caught fire in the middle of a curve and he suffered second-degree burns.
Anderson was on lap 19 of the race when the fire started and realizing it, he tried to pull over to avoid a major accident, but at that moment the flames intensified in such a way that before the truck stopped, the driver climbed out the window and tried to get as far away as possible.
Leaving the car as best he could, he continued to move away to avoid a greater evil and later threw himself on the pavement while waiting for medical services.
Once he was stabilized and taken to a hospital in Birmingham, Alabama, Anderson himself confirmed that he suffered second-degree burns to his neck, face, knees, hands and right arm, although he thanked God for having “protected” him..
