After having shipwrecked his signing for Saint-Étienne, Sergio Rico has a new suitor. As you may have learned AS, the former Sevilla player is the result of the interest of Mallorca, which is looking for a starting goalkeeper to compensate for the, until now, poor performance of Manolo Reina in goal.

The one with PSG is one of the favorites to land on the island before the winter market is over.

For now the contacts between the vermilion and PSG have been very brief. Mallorca wants a loan without a purchase option for the goalkeeper, although the main impediment could be the salary.

The Spanish international receives 200,000 euros per month, that is, 2.4 million euros gross per year, an unaffordable figure for those of Luis García, who will try to get PSG to assume a part of the salary to speed up the operation.

Although Sergio Rico is very happy in Paris, the goalkeeper does not count for Pochettino. The arrival of Donnarumma during the summer market placed him as the third goalkeeper of the PSG squad, a situation that has precipitated the player wanting to leave during the winter market.

For now negotiations between Mallorca and PSG continue to try to unblock the operation.
