Casillas, Carbonero and the most famous kiss in the history of Spanish football

But that date will also be remembered for the kiss that Iker Casillas gave Sara Carbonero live on Telecinco, and before all Spain, when the journalist interviewed the captain of the National Team.

It was the way Iker chose to end the rumors and make public a relationship that almost eleven years later has come to an end, according to the magazine Readings.

Casillas and Carbonero have remembered that kiss in several interviews and they have always recognized the “shame” that seeing that situation now produces them. That romantic gesture and the triumph of Spain in the World Cup made Iker and Sara the fashionable couple in Spanish sport.

“We were calmly, it is very romantic and very beautiful, but now I am ashamed. When we got on the plane back to Madrid and we already started to see the photo, the messages, the madness, we already thought that perhaps he had gotten a little more involved than we thought”, Casillas confessed in the documentary Hang up the wings, of Movistar +.
