Trino Marín’s freedom ended when in 2006 the authorities managed to capture him, when Jenni Rivera steeled herself and told the whole truth on television, after La Gran Señora recounted what happened, a fanatic found the whereabouts of the fugitive.

The trial of Trino Marín
After several months of trials, it was in 2007 that José Trinidad Marín was found guilty, responding to between six to eight serious crimes, including lascivious acts with a minor, abuse and aggravated sexual assault against a minor, giving him a sentence of 31 years in prison.
On two occasions he has asked that his sentence be reduced and that he be released on bail for good behavior but his lawyer has denied it, for the moment Trino Marín is still in jail.
During an interview for Univisión , Rosie Rivera, a victim of her brother-in-law, recounted the first abuse she suffered from Trino Marín:
“Chiquis and I were playing Barbies, and he came in. He asked him to come out and he asked me if I wanted to play, let’s play love games and he brought a quilt. He started kissing my neck and touching where no one had touched me.”
For her part, Chiquis Rivera told Imagen how her father sexually abused her from 8 to 12 years old :
“We were coming from the beach and when I went to the bathroom to bathe and get the sand out, he came in and sat me naked between his legs. There it happened for the first time”.
At the moment, the only thing that is known is that Trino Marín continues in jail, and much has been said that his sentence has been reduced by half with an attempt to get him out in these months, however, this news has not been confirmed not at all.
