The Spider-Man actor came clean and talked about how he first realized he had a problem

Tom Holland who recently participated in The Crowded Room series available on Apple TV platform, decided to talk about the hard process he had to go through to stop drinking alcohol, being one of the most difficult moments of his life, but he managed to quit with a lot of discipline and self-control.

How did Tom Holland realize he had a problem?

The actor was present on the podcast On Purpose with Jay Shetty, where the star known as the famous Spider-Man was questioned about his process of separation with alcohol, mentioning that he had a December full of alcohol and although he was always able to drink quite a lot, because of the genes on his mom’s side, he decided to stop drinking in January.

“All I could think about was drinking, that’s all I could think about, I would wake up thinking about it, I would check the clock, and it really freaked me out, and I was like ‘Wow’, maybe I do have a problem with alcohol’ so I decided to punish myself.” Commented the actor for the podcast.
Tom Holland mentioned that he started this process in January and set himself a challenge to keep it up for two more months, because “if he made it through those months, he could prove to himself that he didn’t have a problem,” but despite enduring those two months he continued to suffer and felt like he couldn’t be social or go out to dinner because of the same thing he was struggling with and started to worry about his problem.

“I started to worry that I really did have an alcohol problem, so I decided that I would wait until my birthday, which is June 1 and I said to myself ‘If I can make it 6 months without alcohol, then I can prove that I don’t have a problem’ and eventually I made it to June 1 and it was the happiest I’ve been my whole life.” Holland mentioned happy to achieve his process.
