In 2009, Robbie Williams fulfilled one of his dreams and acquired a spectacular 30,000 square meter villa in Wiltshire, a county in the south of England known for its incredible natural landscapes.

At that time, the singer was delighted with the press: “Compton Bassett House has been the perfect escape for our family.” However, over time he became ‘disenchanted’ with the property because, as he assured on his Instagram account, he was haunted.

Apparently, his little daughter began to be afraid of the house and he himself confessed that one of the rooms “makes me tremble”.

Since then, the one who was the leader of ‘Take That’ has been trying to sell the lavish villa, even willing to lose money to get rid of it. Now, after several years of trying, finally Robbie Williams has managed to liquidate Compton Bassett House for just under a million of what he originally paid.

The boom in real estate operations in the English countryside as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, which attracted many interested in properties with open-air land, has been essential, for the artist can forget about the ghosts that haunted him.

Beyond the negative presences or energies, Compton Bassett House counts among its exclusive facilities with tennis court, soccer field, swimming pool, spa, gym, a helicopter hangar and, in addition to a large outdoor space, can accommodate guests and staff in the various annexes.

It is a fabulous villa dating from the 18th century that served as home for several years to Robbie Williams, his wife Ayda Field and the four children they have in common. There they lived very happy moments, until beings from beyond also seemed to be attracted to the spa or the tennis court.

Although Robbie Williams explains the loss of value of the house for this supernatural reason, the truth is that some real estate experts also reveal that a landfill is located very close to Compton Bassett House and that, on some occasions, the foul stench can reach the villa grounds.

Whatever the reason, the ‘Take That’ singer has finally gotten ‘a dead man’ off his back. Or several.
