Surprising cover of Semana magazine announcing a new separation in the world of the heart. Ramón García and Patricia Cerezo have made the decision to end their marriage after 24 years together.

The presenter and the journalist were one of the strongest couples in the community. One of the first decisions made by the couple, who have two daughters in common, Natalia, 17 years old, and Veronica, 14, has been the sale of their house in Pozuelo de Alarcón, in Madrid.

Everything seems to indicate that it is a friendly breakup and according to sources close to the couple they have already started the legal separation procedures and each one lives in an apartment near the family home now for sale.

“It is not a temporary crisis or an outburst. They are both very sensible people and before taking this step they wanted to be sure; if not, they would not have given it,” say friends of the couple.

Ramón and Patricia met in the corridors of TVE when she was a stewardess and the host of the same program.

The last image we have of the family is from 2018 on the beaches of Sancti Petri, Cádiz, where they have a house.

The last few years have been hard for the marriage that has always been very close. In November 2019, Ramón received a hard blow, the death of his father Ramón, at 89 years of age. For Patricia, her father-in-law was like a father to her and they were very close, as evidenced by the words he dedicated to her after his death.

“I have been lucky in this life to have the best father-in-law in the world. From the first day he met me, more than 25 years ago, he has treated and loved me like a daughter”, she began by writing on her Instagram account.

“Anyone who has known him knows that I am not exaggerating when I say that Ramón is goodness personified. Always smiling, always kind, always loving. You have been my weakness dear father-in-law. And yours, your granddaughters. You let yourself be ruffled by them, that your son said that you never allowed them to touch your hair, it was always so impeccable,” she added.

“I am left with the peace of mind that you have left in peace, that you have had a wonderful life and, best of all, you will now be with my father with whom you used to laugh so much. What joy it must have given him to see you. I love you, Ramón”, she said goodbye affectionately.

Two and a half years ago Patricia was also the one who lost her father to whom she was very close.
