Michelle Rubalcava told his followers the reason why he looked sad lately, crestfallen and somewhat off on his YouTube channel where he talks about entertainment news and show business.
And it is that the journalist announced that two weeks ago he was the victim of an armed robbery inside a taxi that circulated freely in Mexico City, a situation that had him very distressed in recent days.
The also television presenter said that as he did not have a battery in her phone, it seemed appropriate to take a taxi on the street after leaving a meeting in the early hours of the morning, but it was not until he started the trip that he was the victim of the assault in which he struggled with the driver and even injured his hand.
After his departure from the Imagen Televisión program, Gustavo Adolfo Infante referred to his former partner as incompetent.
Rubalcava explained that the events took place on a Saturday in early May, when after leaving a dinner at the house of one of her friends, he could not order an application taxi, so he took a risk when approaching one of the street.
Due to the painful situation in which a new phone and bank cards were stolen, the driver was in a low mood for several days, and commented that very few people had knowledge of the unfortunate robbery that he experienced, even his mother just told it, a fact for which he was encouraged to also share it with the subscribers of his channel who showed their support in the comment box of the video.
“The May 25 is Tuesday, it’s my birthday, I was going to go to Spain but then you can’t go right now, and then well I’ll tell you publicly, they assaulted me, they stole my cell phone, armed and everything. A taxi driver, because I ran out of battery, I could not order a taxi application and since I was close, it assaults me that was two Saturdays ago, around 3 in the morning I was coming from a dinner,” he said about the assault.
According to Alex Kaffie, Michelle Rubalcava would be in the plans of the producer of “Hoy” to join the program.
He also added that unfortunately the supposed taxi driver also took away his cards and made several purchases in online stores before she could report the theft to his bank and authorities.
“He used my debit card, he misused the card, it was ugly, & he hurt my hand, we struggled, you can see the crack there, it was an ugly episode, but thank God I’m fine, I’ve been cuddly and especially scared, I tell them because I just told my mother about this.”
Rubalcava added that the cell phone that was stolen was new, and that the next day he went to his phone company to cancel it, report the theft and reactivate the line on an old device that he had saved, and that he currently use.
“On Sunday I was without a phone all day, I had just bought a new cell phone and then he left, this man took it, I didn’t see the license plates or the car number, and then early Monday I had to go to the bank and that’s when I realized that I had done some online operations, because that man did not have my electronic signature. I put the clarification, I hope the bank returns it to me because it was not just anything that was ‘trolled’ this man, and then I had to go to the phone company to unsubscribe and have the other one activated, “he added.
Michelle Rubalcava did not hide his discomfort at the interview with Karla Panini in “De Primera Mano”, one of the reasons why he would have left the broadcast.
The show host revealed that he came to report the robbery, but he still has no response from the authorities: “I went to the Prosecutor’s Office, I was about three hours raising the complaint, I was doing all those procedures, the truth feels horrible.”
“Thank God it had never happened to me here in Mexico. As I no longer had a battery, I could not order application taxi that are safer, I grabbed one of those pink taxis, we were totally a few blocks from here and what’s wrong with me. He fitted my nails, took something out, I couldn’t say exactly what because it was dark,” he concluded.
