The actor became famous in the 1990s for his role as Tommy Oliver in the original series of the “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers” franchise.

Dressed as one of the six superheroes masked from head to toe who, with his kung-fu skills, faced monsters of all kinds, Jason David Frank was part of the team that managed to conquer children’s audiences in 1993, when the series premiered. .

Frank played one of the protagonists for 3 seasons, with a total of 123 episodes, as well as in several film adaptations that were made of the successful saga based on the Japanese Super Sentai franchise.

“He was an inspiration to a lot of people. His presence will be greatly missed. It is very sad to lose another member of our Ranger family,” said actor Walter Jones, who played another of the Power Rangers.
