However, hours later, he assured that a third test was negative for coronavirus, so he will continue working. “When in doubt, we act responsibly. Third COVID test reports negative result. We will continue working with all the care and #SinTregua for the protection and defense of Colombians. Thank you for the messages of encouragement and good wishes! ”, Said Molano.

Molano attended a meeting with several indigenous members in Caldono, Cauca, this week, for the murder of the indigenous governor, Sandra Liliana Peña in that department.

In that space, Molan offered a reward of 200 million pesos for information that allows locating those responsible and explained that the daughters of the indigenous leader would be cared for by the Colombian Institute of Family Welfare. He also attributed the death to the FARC dissident, Dagoberto Ramos.

In addition, last week the minister was in the Distraction border zone, in La Guajira, accompanied by the military leadership to review the capabilities of the National Army Medium Combined Arms Task Force, of Mechanized Cavalry Group No. 2, also known as the unit ‘Colonel Juan José Rondón’, established in 2015. From there he said that the Government continues to intensify the military presence in the area and ensuring that he is ready for any situation that may arise due to the confrontation between the Bolivarian National Armed Forces and the ‘Iván Mordisco’ dissidence.

Molano, when he was director of the Administrative Department of the Presidency (Dapre), He claimed to have been infected in October of last year. By having his office in the Palace of Nariño, and therefore working closely with the President of the Republic, Iván Duque, it was necessary to carry out the test to the president, who gave a negative result.

The one who was not saved was the vice president Marta Lucía Ramírez, who in the same month, in an isolated case to the previous one, tested positive for covid-19, after taking a test as a precaution. This happened one day before making a trip to Manizales for the 2020 Governors Summit, which he had to abstain from participating in.

Another who was infected with COVID-19 at the beginning of January was the Colombian Foreign Minister, Claudia Blum, 72 years old. “Due to a case that occurred in my family, I started preventive isolation at the time and took the Covid -19 test. The result of the confirmatory test was finally positive, “he said in a statement signed by the minister.
