Ana Rosa Quintana has announced that she has breast cancer, and as a consequence, she will stop presenting ‘Ana Rosa’s program‘ for at least one season while undergoing treatment.
Her absence from Mediaset has started from this Tuesday, since after communicating this unfortunate news, she left the set.
“Today I’m going to talk about myself. Normally I have not missed my appointment with you. I am so grateful to all of you who have brought us here that I have to share with everyone the hardest thing that has ever happened to me. Today I want to say goodbye for a season. I hope it is not very long. They have found in me a breast cancer.” Ana Rosa Quintana began announcing this Tuesday at the beginning of her program.
“I know that I am going to be cured. Fortunately, it is localized and there are no metastases. I want to remind all women of the importance of not letting a review pass,” added the Mediaset presenter, who provoked the emotion of many of her collaborators when communicating the news.
For this reason, and as Ana herself said Rosa, the presenter is temporarily retiring from television, being replaced from Tuesday by Ana Terradillos, although it is unknown if she will be her replacement during this season.
The presenter already overcame cancer in 2010
The news comes after a few days ago, the journalist herself recalled her first experience with this disease. “It is very important to detect it in time. It is not the same to overcome it when it is in the initial phase, as it happened to me, that when it is already much more advanced,” she acknowledged about her first breast cancer.
The presenter was diagnosed in July 2010, undergoing surgery a few days later, although she did not tell it then so that her two children would not be scared, that at that time they were 6 years old.
