President Joe Biden was named in an email found on Hunter Biden’s computer discussing a 25 million ton gas deal with China; the president’s brother was also in the agreement
President Joe Biden’s name appeared in an email found on Hunter Biden’s “controversial laptop” discussing a 25-million-tonne gas deal with China, the Daily Mail reported.
According to the aforementioned medium, Hunter and his uncle, Joe’s brother, Jim Biden, were in the juicy negotiation to supply gas from Louisiana to China on behalf of their trading partners, CEFC.
A Louisiana-based lawyer on the other side of the deal, Robert Frente, wrote in an October 27, 2017 email that he had arranged “a call (with Cherniere, a Texas energy company) from Joe Biden and Hunter Biden on Monday morning to discuss the purchase of the 5 million tons of gas”.
Daily Mail indicated that it is very possible that Fenet made a finger error when writing Joe instead of Jim, in the emails, however, other emails involve the president, even Hunter’s uncle highlighted the participation of the Biden family in the project.
“We Biden, often riddled with problems, which can come from working with family members, have a different mindset. This is about family and the people we choose to do business with,” he wrote to Fenet on October 19 of that year.
Fenet submitted a proposal for his liquefied natural gas (LNG) deal with the Bidens and their Chinese partners in an email on October 20, 2017 “ashton Fenet and Sons Construction Company, Inc., in a joint venture with a Louisiana, will provide a 25-year supply of natural gas and LNG to his group.”
The outlet also noted that the following month, Hunter wrote a letter to CEFC Chairman Ye Jianming, saying the deal would provide “large quantities of LNG at very competitive prices while furthering CEFC’s long-term goals.” through a partnership or acquisition of a promising LNG terminal project in Louisiana.”
James Gilliar, said in an email that 10% of the capital in the CEFC company would be held in capital “by H for the big guy”, a week after this message, Gilliar asked Bobulinski to avoid referring to Biden’s participation in the correspondence agreement “do not mention that Joe Biden is involved.”
