Contrary to what had been anticipated, the candidate of the National Regeneration Movement (Morena) for the elections in the state of Coahuila, Armand Guadianadid not leave the country to attend Super Bowl LVII, since he changed his schedule to continue his tours in the communes and close his pre-campaign.

According to information shared by the dismissed senator, as well as by the national president of Morena, Mario Delgadoon February 12, Armando Guadiana went to the municipality of arteagawhere he visited the Sunday market and chatted with the locals.

“Our colleague Armando Guadiana, the only pre-candidate of our movement for the government of #Coahuila, was at the traditional Sunday market in Arteaga. There is a lot of enthusiasm and hope on the part of the Coahuilens that the 100 years of lies and corruption of the #PRI will soon end”, wrote the Morenist leader on his Twitter account.

Later, Guadiana shared a post with the same account as Delgado Carrillo. “No more rich government with poor people. We will end the corruption that the PRI has caused“wrote the candidate for the candidacy to renew the state government.

On top of that, Guadiana shared a video on his social media in which he was heard saying, “We didn’t go to the Super Bowl because of the commitment to Coahuila”. To date, Morena’s only candidate for Coahuila was to attend the stellar NFL event in which teams from Kansas City and Philadelphia faced off.

The announcement was confirmed on February 6, when Guadiana Tijerina acknowledged that he would go to Arizona, since previously word had spread that he would bring forward the closing of his pre-campaign. However, he denied that the early end of his tours was related to the game of American football, as he justified himself by saying that at the end of this stage, Morena’s management would be in the State of Mexico.

I already have the tickets. I’m going to wrap up Saturday afternoon, we have an event here in Saltillo that wraps up with the main pre-campaign activity, in which we did Saturday afternoon, not because of the Super Bowl, but because people from Mexico are coming that they are going to be at the closing of the campaign of our colleague and friend, Senator Delfina Gómez, so we want them to be with us and that is why we are going to do it on Saturday afternoon here in Saltillo”, has he explained for Millenniumafter the criticisms it received.

However, the icing on the cake contender missed the game that resulted in the Kansas City Chiefs beat Philadelphia Eagles by a score of 38 to 35 points. The one who attended the event was his son, also named Armando, according to what was posted on his social media.

“Since Phoenix enjoying Super Bowl 57 where the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles face off. I miss my father, who stayed to continue working for CoahuilaI’m proud of everything you do for everyone and the effort you make every day. Thank you, I love you dad! Greetings to American football fans and the Coahuilense people”, wrote the young man on his Instagram account.

Before it was confirmed that the morenista had remained in Coahuila, his possible opponent in the elections, Ricardo Mejia Berdejalaunched a virulent criticism against him at an event.

“If Mr. Guadiana wants to go to the Super Bowl, it’s up to him, denotes the frivolity he has for the problems of Coahuilabut there, we will continue to work,” he said.
