We learned that José and his wife turned to the organization international human rights mission, who remains in Juliaca until today, Sunday February 12. It also appeals to similar bodies to help them obtain justice.

Jacinto Ticona Huamán, representative of the Office of the Puno Ombudsmansent a message calling for calm to protesters and law enforcement, to stop reporting more deaths and injuries.

“They must act with reason, proportionality and professionalism to avoid more deaths,” said Ticona Huamán.

The organization Solidarity and Human Rights Mission is in Juliaca collect the testimonies of people bereaved and injured during demonstrations due to the political and social crisis. This organization was close to José Silva’s family.

Those injured by a gun projectile were identified as Fleming Coasaca Chambi (35 years old), Saúl Armando Murillo Quilla (38 years old), Martha Noemí Roque Quispe (48 years old) and the youngest initials BQA (11 years).
