The teams participating in the 2023 edition of the major leagues have been confirmed. The World Baseball Classic has already seen the lists of the 20 participating teams, in which a large number of Latin American teams stand out.

The tournament will take place from March 8-21 and will be divided into four groups, each with five teams for the qualifying rounds. Colombia unveiled its roster consisting of 24 pitchers, four outfielders, three receivers and seven infielders, in which the presences of Donovan Solano and Gio Urshela.

The tournament was announced to take place during 2021, however, the consequences of covid-19 prevented the execution of the championship, which is why it had to be suspended. In 2022, it was also unconfirmed, as it was dependent on the collective bargaining agreement in the United States and Major League Baseball’s management negotiations with the Players Association.

The 2023 World Baseball Classic will be the Fifth Edition of the most important international baseball tournament at the level of world teams. For this championship, 20 teams will participate, of which the national team and title holder will be the United States, a team that won the last edition beating the Puerto Rican team in the final.

Venues announced for 2021 have been maintained for this edition, as confirmed by Major League Baseball and the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC).

The Organizing Committee has established four sites for the development of all sports activities, which will be distributed in four cities between the United States and Asia. Receivers: Jorge Alfaro, Gustavo Campero and Elias Diaz.

Gardeners: Jesús Marriaga, Oscar Mercado, Tito Polo and Harold Ramirez.

Launchers: Elkin Alcalá, Adrián Almeida, Hugo Beltrán, Danis Correa, Nabil Crismatt, William Cuevas, Luis de Ávila, Luis Escobar, Rubén Galindo, Pedro García, Río Gómez, Yapson Gómez, Tayron Guerrero, Jasier Herrera, Santiago Flórez, Jeffry Niño, Carlos Ocampo, José Quintana, Jhon Romero, Reiver Sanmartin, Julio Teherán, José Torres, Ezequiel Zabaleta, Guillermo Zúñiga.

Colombia will be in Group C of the tournament and will face Team USA in the first round, a team that counts Mookie Betts as one of their current references. There will also be Mexico, Canada and the United Kingdom.

The best teams in the world will be present in the championship, most of which are from the American continent: Cuba, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, Panama, Nicaragua, Colombia, United States, Mexico, Canada, Netherlands, Japan, Israel, Korea , Chinese Taipei, Italy, Australia, China, United Kingdom and Czech Republic.
