Costa Rica secured all 3 points at home beating Guadalupe 2-1

At the Doroteo Guamuch Flores Stadium, Costa Rica secured an important victory in Group G Date 1 of the CONCACAF Under-17 Championship 2023. The goals of the match for the hosts were scored by Sean Albriton (4′ 1T) and Andry Naranjo (13′ 1T). While the visitors’ goal is scored by Yanis Bienville (7′ 2T, from a free kick).

Danny’s Cordinel created danger after 19 minutes of the first leg, but his shot ended up hitting one of the posts and Guadalupe couldn’t ignore.

The best man of the match was Yanis Bienville. The Guadalupe defender had a good level, scoring 1 goal and clearing 6 dangerous balls.

Sean Albriton also stood out at the Doroteo Guamuch Flores stadium. The Costa Rica striker scored 1 goal, shot 4 times in the opposite goal and made 5 correct passes.

For its part, Richard Guyon’s team entered the field with a 4-5-1 pattern with Wilhem Perran under the three sticks; Jil-Lyan Forlac, Killian Mourouvin, Evan Lauriette and Yanis Bienville in defence; Ylan Moloza, Womann Peccatus, Axel Calau Pointel, Lorick Gustave and Willan Jacques in midfield; and Danny’s Cordinel in the lead.

Referee Ken Pennyfeather was in charge of overseeing the game at Doroteo Guamuch Flores Stadium.

On the following date, Costa Rica will face Cuba as visitors, while Guadeloupe will face Jamaica at home.
