Madrid, 13 Feb. Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz, who has yet to start this year and retains second place in the ATP world rankings after Serbian Novak Djokovic, wants to start scoring points in the Buenos Aires tournament where he will reappear this week.

In the top 10 of the ranking, the only change is that of the American Taylor Fritz who gains a place of seventh at the expense of the Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime. The rest remain with Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas in third place and Spaniard Rafael Nadal in sixth place.

The biggest increase of the week is achieved by the “historic” Chinese Yibing Wu who became the first player from this country to win an ATP tournament by winning the one in Dallas. Wu moves up 39 places and settles in 58.

The Argentinians Sebastián Báez and Federico Coria, champion and runner-up of their country’s tournament in Córdoba also rise in the standings, the first 11 steps to be 36 and the second 18 to reach 49.

Besides Alcaraz and Nadal, the other Spaniards in the top 100 are: Pablo Carreño (16), Roberto Bautista (24), Alejandro Davidovich (31), Albert Ramos (44), Jaume Munar (67), Pedro Martínez (73), Bernabé Zapata (74) and Roberto Carballés (76).

As for the Ibero-Americans, the top 100 are: Francisco Cerundolo (ARG, 30), Diego Schwartzman (ARG, 32), Sebastian Baez (ARG, 36), Federico Coria (ARG, 49), Pedro Cachin (ARG, 68, Thiago Monteiro (BRA,78), Thomas M.
